Loudspeaker on wheels to inform residents about COVID-19 measures

Table de Quartier Park Extension (the Table) is organizing an information tour tomorrow, May 9, from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m, in partnership with Vivre Saint-Michel en santé and Forum Jeunesse de Saint-Michel. A truck with a loudspeaker will tour the streets of Park Extension. Messages will be said out loud in nine languages.

“If TOMORROW in the streets of Park Extension you hear messages of greetings in nine languages, know that is OUR Truck tour with a loudspeaker.”

Information will be available in the following languages: Urdu, Tamil, Hindi, Punjabi, Bengali, Arabic, Greek, English, and French.

The messages will mainly address measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19). The group will also present their wishes for Mother’s Day and Ramadan.

This project is part of a series of initiatives led by the Table’s colleagues from the Montréal-Nord, Saint-Michel, and Côte-des-Neiges neighborhoods.

In addition to the event partners, Table the FTQ, members of the COVID-19 communication sub-cell, and the local police department PDQ 33.
