COVID-19 testing clinic to open this weekend at Barclay school

CIUSSS West-Central will set up a mobile clinic this weekend in Park Extension to screen residents for the coronavirus illness known as COVID-19. Testing is free of charge and available without appointment.

The clinic will take place in a Société de transport de Montréal (STM) bus. The bus will be parked beside Barclay school, at 7911 Outremont Avenue. Residents will line up in the schoolyard for testing.

People are especially encourage to come if they have flu-like symptoms or have been in touch with a person with COVID-19.

This is the third time CIUSSS have set up testing clinic in Park Extension.

Testing clinic details

Days: Friday, May 29; Saturday, May 30; and Sunday, May 31

Hours of operation: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Location: 7911 Outremont Avenue, schoolyard of Barclay school

Cost: testing is free, regardless of immigration status or health insurance coverage. Residents can come even if they don’t have health insurance or if their insurance has expired.

Appointment: No appointment is needed.

The clinic visited Park Extension last week from Tuesday, May 19 to Thursday, May 21 beside the Parc metro station. This week, the clinic opened again at the same location but its hours were reduced due to a heat wave. Click here to see the full story.
